Our Mission
About Face creates positive turns for veterans in the Dakotas and Minnesota by providing emergency grants when other services are unavailable.
What We Do
As a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization, About Face provides one-time emergency grants up to $5,000 to veterans and military families in need. It was established in 2025 to fill any gaps in services provided to these populations. For example, we do not provide housing or food assistance because other agencies have been established to meet those needs. We do, however, provide small grants for transportation from VA medical appointments or to help with household goods for veterans transitioning out of homelessness. Needs may include, but are not limited to, dental care, vision, hearing, housing, transportation for medical treatment and other special needs as approved by the About Face Board of Directors.
